Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 2026. This explains what data TGB collects across tgbagupta.com and the TGB app, why, where it's stored, and how to get it deleted.

Who and what this covers

This policy covers tgbagupta.com and the TGB app (Android, iOS, and web/desktop, built with Compose Multiplatform), both operated by TGB, a network of independent freelance developers based in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh, India. The app uses the same backend and collects the same categories of data described below — nothing app-specific beyond what's already covered here. This policy does not cover third-party sites we link to, or client projects we build for others (those are covered by whatever privacy policy that client publishes on their own site/app).

What we collect

We only collect what you actively give us through a form or the AI assistant, on the website or in the app. We don't run trackers that harvest data silently beyond standard analytics (below).

Contact & project forms

Name, email, and whatever project details you type — through the contact form, requirements wizard, SRS form, project planner, or call-booking request. Used only to respond to your inquiry.

AI assistant conversations

Messages you send to the chat widget are processed by Google's Gemini API to generate a reply, and — if you explicitly submit a project inquiry or booking request through it — saved the same way as a form submission.

Developer applications

If you apply to join the network via the "Join" page: your name, email, portfolio link, and resume PDF (max 2MB), stored to review your application.

Newsletter signup

Just your email address, to send occasional updates. Unsubscribe any time by emailing us.

Blog comments

The name and comment text you submit on a blog post. Comments are screened for spam/abuse before appearing — approved comments are shown publicly under that post with your name and comment text.

Site reviews

Your rating (1–10), an optional name, and your comment, submitted through the review form on the Contact page. Screened the same way as blog comments — approved reviews are shown publicly (rating + comment + name) on the homepage and Contact page.

Analytics

Google Analytics (GA4) collects standard, aggregated usage data on the website — pages visited, approximate location, device type — to understand how it's used. It does not identify you by name. If the app adds analytics later, this policy will be updated first.

Theme preference

Your light/dark mode choice is saved locally on your device only (browser storage on the website, standard platform storage in the app) — never sent to us.

Where it's stored

Form, chat, comment, and review data — from the website or the app — is stored in the same Supabase backend (Postgres database with access-control rules — submissions and pending comments/reviews are not publicly readable, only approved comments/reviews are). Resume and blog images are stored on Backblaze B2. Analytics data is processed by Google. None of these providers are given permission to use your data for their own purposes beyond running the service we've configured.

What we don't do

We don't sell your data. We don't share it with advertisers. We don't collect payment or card details through the website or app — project payments are arranged directly and separately once a project is scoped. We don't publicly display your phone number or contact details submitted through a form.

Cookies

Google Analytics sets standard analytics cookies on the website. We don't use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

App permissions

The TGB app only needs internet access to load content and submit forms — it doesn't request camera, location, contacts, microphone, or storage permissions. If a future version needs an additional permission, this policy will be updated first, and the permission request will explain why at the time.

Children's privacy

This website and app are intended for businesses and individuals looking to hire a software developer — not for children. We don't knowingly collect data from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has submitted data to us, email hello@tgbagupta.com and we'll delete it.

Your rights

You can ask us to see, correct, or delete any data we hold about you at any time — email hello@tgbagupta.com and we'll action it directly against our database.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes meaningfully, the "last updated" date above will change. Continued use of the site after an update means you accept the revised policy.
